In the app
- Open Open Citadel.
- Go to Settings.
- Find the Cloud Account card.
- Tap DELETE ACCOUNT.
- Confirm when the app asks.
This takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it.
By email
If you have already uninstalled the app, email thamsanqa.dev@gmail.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We will do it within 30 days. We may first have to check that you control that address, so please reply if we write back.
What gets deleted
- Your account and your sign-in, including your email address.
- Your plan and your credit balance.
- Your credit ledger, which is the history of what you spent.
- The records of your Samwell Cloud turns: which model answered, when, and how many tokens it used.
- Our subscription record of you at RevenueCat.
This is deleted for good, not deactivated. We cannot bring it back, and neither can you.
What stays on your phone
Your books, highlights, notes, chats, goals, and logs live on your device and were never part of your account. Deleting your account does not touch them, and Samwell keeps working on-device. We have no copy of any of it.
To remove that too, uninstall Open Citadel. That deletes the local database with it.
Your subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel a Samwell Cloud subscription. Subscriptions are held by the store you bought from, so if you leave one running it keeps renewing and charging you.
Cancel it before you delete your account:
- Android: Google Play app, then Subscriptions.
- iPhone: Settings, your name, then Subscriptions.
What we keep
Nothing, with one exception worth naming. If you redeemed an insider invite code, the record of that code stays marked as used, with your account replaced by the word "deleted-account", so the code cannot be handed on and used again. It holds no personal data.
